FORWARD’27 AURORA’s international webinar on networked & collaborative robots
Members of AURORA Co-Innovation project were invited to a webinar to hear about networked and collaborative robots research at MIRMI at TAU, Germany.
On February 10, 2026 Dr.-Ing. Hamid Sadeghian, Senior Scientist from Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence at Technical University of Munich, Germany (MIRMI at TAU) gave a presentation to AURORA ecosystem members about Networked and Collaborative Robots for Healthcare and Industry.
The commentator for the presentation was Anssi Koivusalo, Chief Design Engineer from Ponsse R&D.

‘As robotics continues to expand into industrial, healthcare, and domestic environments, interconnectivity among robots is becoming essential for creating efficient and truly collaborative systems. Unlike traditional standalone setups, future robots will operate as part of dynamic, interconnected networks, exchanging high-fidelity data that includes real-time tactile and multimodal sensory feedback. This capability is critical for enabling advanced telepresence and teleoperation in complex applications such as remote healthcare services and industrial collaboration.
While 5G networks have already enabled significant progress in low-latency and high-bandwidth communication, upcoming 6G technologies promise even greater potential, offering enhanced data rates, reliability, and further latency reduction. In this seminar, several applications and practical experiences are presented and discussed, highlighting the opportunities and challenges of networked and collaborative robotic systems in healthcare and industrial contexts.’
