PONSSE EV1 Electric Hybrid Forwarder concept showcased at the Transform-event in Portugal
On May 14, 2026 Ponsse together with its authorized dealer Ascendum participated in the Transform event in Portugal, highlighting the PONSSE EV1 concept as part of the company’s ongoing journey toward enhanced fuel efficiency, electrification and sustainability.
The event brought together industry leaders to explore future solutions for fully electrified, low-emission and high-efficiency operations in forestry related heavy machinery. The EV1 attracted strong interest as a forward-looking example of how battery-electric technologies can be applied in demanding forestry environments.
As a highlight of the event, the PONSSE EV1, alongside other electric equipment such as MAN electric truck and VOLVO electric tracked excavator, was also successfully charged at a remote eucalyptus forest logging site using a mobile charging station concept connected to a 220kV power transmission line.
The event also provided valuable insights into emerging trends, partner ecosystems, and customer expectations in Southern European markets, further supporting the development of next-generation sustainable forestry solutions.
